Immunisations

This is a guide for community health workers about immunisations. It was developed alongside health workers in under-resourced and rural settings.

Working in their own study groups, community health workers can use this guide to learn how to:

  • promote immunisations and manage them in a clinic
  • explain an immunisation programme and how immunisations are given
  • advise parents about immunisations and the immunisation record
  • understand the importance and the risks of immunisations and the cold chain.
